Piano Teachers Wanted
Job Types: Part-time, Contract | Location: In person, South Denver Metro
About the Role
DaVinci Arts is looking for positive, reliable piano teachers to join our team. We’re currently hiring for two types of positions in the South Denver Metro area: private, in-home lessons for students ages 5 through adult, and small group classes at local preschools for children ages 2.5–5. Teachers who can teach multiple instruments are a plus.
Our Whole Music Approach goes beyond reading notes on a page — we value teachers who read music, play by ear, and improvise, and who, most importantly, love working with kids. We also encourage students to compose their own music, and we love teachers who support them in that process.

Open Positions
1. In-Home Private Lessons for South Denver Metro
What You’ll Do
- Teach private piano lessons in students’ homes (students typically are aged 5-adult)
- Teach fundamental music concepts – rhythm, melody, harmony, and theory – across a range of styles and genres
- Encourage improvisation, composition, and playing by ear alongside reading music
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to families
- Participate in recitals and other events that showcase student achievement
Schedule & Availability
- Weekday afternoons/evenings, Monday-Thursday, typically 3:00-7:00 PM
- Minimum: 2 afternoons/evenings per week; ideal: 3-4 per week
- We often have families ask about weekend lessons too
- Greater availability generally leads to faster studio growth
How Studio Growth Works
Teachers typically start with 3-4 students and grow into 1, 2, or 3+ teaching days (3-4 hours per day). We build efficient teaching routes and group students geographically whenever possible, and teachers approve their commute area before any student is placed.
Current Areas of Need: Southeast Denver Metro, Saddle Rock, Lone Tree, and Centennial
Requirements: Must have reliable transportation for travel to students’ homes.
2. Preschool Group Classes
What You’ll Do
- Teach small group music classes at local area preschools
- Introduce fundamental music concepts – rhythm, melody, and simple songs – in an age-appropriate, playful way
- Encourage exploration, improvisation, and a love of music from an early age
- Collaborate with preschool staff and other DaVinci educators
Schedule & Availability
- Weekday mornings or afternoons, based on preschool scheduling
- Consistent weekly schedule during the school year
Qualifications
- Experience teaching private lessons and/or working with children strongly preferred
- Ability to read music, play by ear, and improvise
- Ability to maintain a consistent weekly teaching schedule during the school year
- University seniors and recent graduates from music programs are encouraged to apply
Compensation & Structure
This is a 1099 independent contractor position.
- Travel bonus per household for in-home lessons
- Contractors indicate their teaching availability and commute preferences
- Student placements are offered based on fit and availability
- Contractors are responsible for their own taxes
