Elyjah Youngblood

Elyjah Youngblood is a talented multi-instrumentalist and educator whose plays and teaches drums, percussion, piano, guitar, voice and ukulele. Beginning lessons at age 7 and continuing his learning through adulthood and current times, he is an avid performer in Gospel mega-churches and many other private and public sectors. He was born and raised in San Jose, California, and earned a double bachelor’s degree from Saint Mary’s College, in Communication and Music.

With over a decade of experience in teaching, performing, music production, songwriting, and music directing, Elyjah has a list of renowned artists that he has learned from including Stephen Marley, Latoya London, Rascal Flatts, Chronixx, and Jah9. For seven years, Elyjah was the dedicated student of legendary drummer Louie Bellson. He was also deeply influenced by his grandmother, Barbara “Big Mama” Jackson, who taught him organ and piano starting from an early age.

Elyjah has released three full-length albums and over 40 singles with the “Elyjah Tribe Legacy” tag. Dedicated to inspiring students to discover their passion, develop their skills, and connect through the joy of music to become the best version of themselves, Elyjah continues to serve the community with dedication, good humor and creativity.
