2025-2026 Calendar For DaVinci Center for Musical Arts

Harmony Classes

Harmony Classes are built into the Whole Music Curriculum at DaVinci Center for Musical Arts and are super important for interactive learning, motivation and creative collaboration. During this week, each student is scheduled (based on age) for a single, hour-long group class, the Harmony Class. These Harmony Classes feature exciting music theory games, co-composing, trying new instruments, playing songs for each other and teacher performances. Students love Harmony Classes. Think of it as “musical cross-training!”

Harmony Classes count as the private lesson for the week, so there are typically no private lessons for the week. To opt out, contact the office (and your teacher) so that a private lesson can be arranged for the week, which may be at a different time than the regular lesson due to instructors teaching Harmony Classes. Students may choose to attend an additional Harmony Class as a makeup for a past or future missed lesson – just let your teacher or the office know. There are no makeups for a missed Harmony Class unless otherwise arranged with the teacher.

The Harmony Class schedules are sent out about 3 weeks ahead and the students are grouped by age, usually on the day of their regular lesson, as close as possible to their regular lesson time. The class roster can be adjusted for students upon parent request.

The next Harmony Classes are scheduled for:

  • February 2-8, 2026
  • March 9-15, 2026
  • October 5-11, 2026

Performance Parties

The semi-annual Performance Parties, always on Sunday afternoons, are a fun way to practice performing.  Performance Parties are the lesson for the week so there are no private lessons the week AFTER the Performance Parties unless otherwise arranged with your teacher.

These casual Performance Parties are meant to inspire students, with minimal pressure.  After all, music as with any language, is used to express, interact and communicate with others.  We LOVE to hear everyone’s music, regardless if it is a simply 4 measure improvisation or a complex piece performed by our advanced students and teachers.

There is always a Snack-Luck reception at the end and we provide prizes for the performers and for the non-performing students who have come to just listen and learn.  Eighty percent of learning music is listening, and Performance Parties are great for listening and learning.

Just like Harmony Classes, students may choose to attend an additional Performance Party as a makeup for a past or future missed lesson – just let your teacher or the office know and sign up for two.

There is always a sign-up sheet, sent out a few weeks in advance, so families can choose the most convenient time to attend.  In Broomfield there are 3 Performance Parties (1:00, 2:30 and 4:00) and in Denver, at Timbuk Toys-University Hills at 3:00.

The next Performance Party is scheduled for:

  • April 19, 2026

Formal Student Recitals at DCMA

DCMA offers formal recital opportunities for students who are ready to experience performing in a traditional concert setting. These recitals provide students with the chance to perform on a larger stage in front of a broader audience.

Participation is open to all students. To help ensure a positive experience for each performer, families are asked to submit a brief video of the student’s planned piece in advance. This allows our faculty to confirm that students feel confident and prepared for a formal performance environment.

Formal recitals give young musicians the chance to develop important skills such as stage presence, focused preparation, and performance confidence, skills that are essential to their musical and personal growth. We are committed to supporting students throughout the preparation process and celebrating their achievements on stage.

The next formal recital is scheduled for:

  • February 1, 2026 at Dazzles
