Shareen’s passion as a piano teacher is to discover each individual’s gifts and help them develop and flourish in those gifts. She is continually finding creative ways to engage students in discovery of all aspects of music (Note reading, playing by ear and listening, creating music through solos and songwriting.)

Shareen studied at CU Boulder Music School with a focus on Piano and Vocal music. She played piano in a CU Jazz Trio while performing her own compositions and songs with her Jazz Quartet. She did her senior thesis on African Poly-rhythms and completed her BA with Education Licensure at Metro State University.

Shareen has had success with students getting accepted to Denver School of Arts in Piano Studies. Recently one of her students that began with her at 5 years old, and upon continuing with her to high school graduation was accepted to both Boston Conservatory of Music as well as at University of the Pacific, Dave Brubeck Conservatory with a $40,000 per year merit scholarship for his compositions.

She loves and teaches a great variety of music from Classical to Hip Hop. Classical style Note reading as well as Chord chart reading (or Lead sheet reading) with improvisational soloing skills are her “forte”. She asks that you allow her to share her love for music with you!
